Yin and Yang

Sun and Moon,
     Different as the day is Long.
Yet they briefly meet each day.

For these fleeting moments,
     They dance
      Floating together on an endless canvas
Painted in flecks of cloud,
     Pink and Orange.

The sky darkens
     as the Sun sinks yet again,
Leaving the Moon
Alone
     in her Darkness.

How she longs to be closer
     to her Sunshine.

She reflects his glory,
striving to live up to his standard of
     Perfection.

But there she stays,
     Immobile.

Alone
     in her Darkness.

How she longs to be in the Light
     with Him.
